At fbnSTUDIO, architecture emerges from a conscious approach to place, space and material. We design buildings that are convincing in their precision, function and atmosphere. Every design decision is based on careful analysis, a clear concept and a commitment to using resources sensibly.
Our motivation
Our motivation is to develop architecture responsibly. In dealing with existing building fabric in particular, we see the greatest opportunity for sustainable, future-proof building. We do not see existing buildings as a constraint but as a starting point for high-quality architectural solutions.
We are driven by the aim of preserving existing fabric, developing its use sensibly and tailoring every project precisely to its context. Technical understanding, careful attention to building physics and clarity of design form an inseparable whole.
For us, good architecture comes from analysis, dialogue and long-term thinking. Our goal is buildings that are convincing in functional, economic and architectural terms and that endure over the years.
Material as a design foundation
Materiality shapes atmosphere and identity. At fbnSTUDIO, we choose materials deliberately and consider their effect, tactile quality and lifespan. In doing so, we follow a resource-conserving approach and rely on sustainable strategies for conversion, refurbishment and new-build projects.

As an architecture practice in Wiesbaden, we specialise in conversion, refurbishment and building in existing structures. Our work is shaped by projects with high design and technical demands, in which precise planning and a sound understanding of complex constraints are decisive.
Digital planning with BIM is an integral part of how we work and provides transparency, quality assurance and a reliable basis for decision-making in every project phase. At the same time, we attach great importance to the careful use of materials and to resource-conserving concepts.
We guide our clients holistically from design through to construction and see architecture as a continuous process in which design, technology and implementation are closely interlinked.
