N9C: Nhá 9NCK café and bar concept in Hanoi
The design of the Nhà 9NCK restaurant consists of a new, innovative hybrid café and bar concept, realised in the centre of Hanoi (Vietnam). Through new room layouts, distinct colour zones and a variety of handcrafted vintage décor, the former French colonial-style manor house gains its own special something that unites art and design. The venue's hybrid character is as follows: during the day it operates as a café serving breakfast, lunch and dinner, and in the evening it turns into a bar. The restaurant's premises extend over three floors in total and comprise various indoor and outdoor areas with different seating options. With its elegant transitions from corner to corner, it is suited to numerous occasions: meeting friends, relaxing or a glamorous dinner party, right through to a business meal.

Built around 1900, the multi-generation house with a large commercial area, last used as a restaurant with a large function hall, is to be converted to purely residential use. A project in Limburg that was supported from planning through to the completion of all measures on around 385 square metres, covering service phases (LPH) 1 to 8 of the German fee scale for architects (HOAI). The highlight of the conversion, which includes a comprehensive refurbishment, is the spacious living area with an inviting fireplace. The gallery integrated here provides additional living space and creates an open, light-filled spatial concept.
